Mainly Monday

But of course some random shots from Sunday as well that I couldn't resist!
Hey, look at me all bright eyes here...I am going for a walk with Dad!

oh, just a shop..not the great outdoors still...

I love it outside and we went for a very long and lovely walk ...all along the edge of a park for 20 blocks down to 184th St to a shop!

Have you been watching any of the Olympics...?

Here I am just chilling out with Mum....

and look what I have been learning to do while no-one's looking!

Grandma took this photo at the very friendly little church down the road she went to on Sunday morning....

and this one is the entrance to a local subway station...glad I don't live around there..the inside looked worse than the outside!

past the arch near the Cloisters on our walk....

and found this one in the local children's playground when we were nearly home! Thought some little girls that I know might like that one!

mmm...yes, does anyone know here this came from...Jo and Andrew had to point it out to me as I walked past...!
some marigolds flowering cheerfully on our way to Jo's physio appointment Monday morning....

we ended up not going to the cafe but going to the park....as there were 11 people ahead of Jo on the list at the physio when she signed in !

past Columbia uni sports ground...

these young people were paddling their surf boards (?) around Manhattan!

the cafe bright lights didn't attract us today....

meanwhile the surfers keep going past!

the notice boards down the park...

the ducks were being very well fed! There was a fellow there with Bags of Food...huge handfuls of rice and something that looked like corn meal!

JO and Liam relaxing on the park bench....after meeting another local young lady with a baby a week older than Liam..that was nice.

a bright geranium around town! On our trip down to the Upper West Side for a mother's meeting for Jo yesterday afternoon

There is always a building..or two or three or more, that I don't know the name of !

Now where have I heard those words before!

some of the older apartments near Central Park West.....

Grandma decided to go for a walk to Central Park while Jo and Liam went to the meeting!

ah, nice to be at Central Park again....

Another lovely potential skywatch photo for Friday...

and a little red building amongst some very tall others!

the late afternoon sun was shining against the buildings....

and there was a warm pink glow behind the Cloisters as we emerged out of the subway coming home....

a little statue I am rather fond of as we go past ....of Christ the Shepherd no doubt!

and there is a 9-11 cross again at the same church, an ever present reminder.....

Happy to be home again....hey Liam? You have been very good today for Mum and Dad!

I must say Ann, that I think you have an artist's eye. Your photos are of things I would probably never think to look at! Thanks for sharing them! Also, I think Liam looks very cute with his thumb in his mouth :-)

Yes, Kathy..he is very cute..it is also helpful at times..altho Jo has just spent an hour waiting for him to "wake up" ..he was lying there awake sucking his thumb...sounds like a pretty well fed boy to me...!

Glad you like the photos..I can't help but absorb this whole city...I must soo look like a tourist with camera always in hand, mostly always looking up!
