Went out to the Brookfield Show Grounds for the annual Schoolhouse Quilter's Quilt Show yesterday...
Always an amazing event!
There were planty of interesting quilts, but the ones I really liked were the challenge ones, where they seemed to be doing a season of the year! This gum leaf one was outstanding too!
The reason I like going out to Brookfield is that is is so lovely and

well, rural. There was a cricket match in progress on the oval.

What a wonderful place to have a Quilt Show! I missed the Brookfield Show earlier in the year, so it is nice to make up for it, with this one.
The kids had entered one too..from Grade 3...

I really loved this doggie...it just reminds me of Abbey so much, and also so much of a painting Jo did of Abbey in just the same pose! I guess labradors all look a bit alike eh? All very cute!

This was my friend Mollie's quilt. I should have put in the close up of all those little round medallions she sewed together. This photo doesn't do it justice at all!

So here are a selection of other quilts...hope you like them!

I did ask whether I could take photos and the answer was in the affirmative...but I didn't actually ask about the blog...so if you like them don't copy them entirely eh?

I really liked this one...it really captures Winter don't you think?
Ok Hope you have enjoyed the annual Quilt Show...next year, why don't you zip out there for yourself and have a look see. They sell pretty fine sandwiches and goodies for morning and afternoon teas and lunches also!
