It's been a little while since we were innocently sewing up these blankets of love for those in need...for the flooded in other towns, and the homeless..little did we know that the recipients could be people in our own suburb...

photos taken post flood peak day on Tursday 13th Jan

many helicopters...

taking photos of the peak of the water....

this was the above park, after the water receded

we prayed for all those affected by the floods, especially for those in Toowoomba, Grantham, Murphy's Creek, and the Lockyer Valley who were hardest hit by a wall of water...and who lost 20 of their own, with 9 still missing...

while some were still sweeping out the mud, others looked to be a step ahead of the others...

the army was out and about helping to shift rubbish...backwards and forwards for almost a week...

more storms...

glimpses of sun and sunsets

ventured over to the St Vinnie's where I discovered they were lucky to be just out of the water by a whisker...

a trip along coronation drive....

a little of the damage over there on the river bank...

navigating the maze of new bridges and tunnels...

past the Gabba

to see these guys briefly...

and a wonderful sunset...

a flower...

and prayers for these guys in New York. At 6 months in her second pregnancy, Jo is experiencing similar contractions as she had last time...when she was ordered onto bed rest ...so she is trying to take it easy and keep herself off bed rest this time...a little hard to do when there is this cute guy, and Daddy not feeling so well. Look after yourself Jo and Andrew...won't be long. See you soon!
