Last Tuesday, just after the ocean liners were docking in Sydney (see previous post below)
there was a dreadful earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. Over 160 lives lost at this stage. What horror to live through. Collapsed buildings, churches. A huge boulder that rolled down a mountain and straight through a house, leaving a huge boulder sized hole front and back, possessions strewn all round the front yard (seen on tv). Our prayers are with the people of Christchurch who lived through it, and the families of all those who lost their lives. The rescuers who have coem from all corners of the world to help..sifting through the rubble. Almost unimaginable. It's been raining again in Brisbane, and other places, especially North Queensland who have just had almost a metre of rain in the last little while since their cyclone Yasi a month ago. Whew. Oh well, let's see what evveryone else has been up to!
Meanwhile, it is lucky that small children can go on living their lives and having fun
here these two in Melbourne seem to be enjoying themselves...
and over in NYC, well, the playground seems a little...mm...shall we say...snowy!
They've had record amounts of snow there over winter."Never mind , let's have fun anyway", says Mummy.
"Come on" said Daddy, "let's go for a sled ride".
"Whee" said the little boy, whizzing down the slope!
"Come on" , said Daddy, "let's do it again"!
"Yay, this is fun...thanks Dad".
let's go for a bit of a walk...
wow, there's snow and ice on that there water
"Let's make a snowman" said Liam
pretty good, Hey?
what about this cute little one?
and what about a snow angel, much more fun on my tummy, than the way Mum does it on her back.
can you see it? Can you see it there?
aha, these two look like they could get up to a bit of mischief if left alone for a while....
what can we find to do over here?
ah, another sled ride Dad...
"Oh, no, not time to go home yet"."Oh yes", said Mummy, but we had lots of fun in the snow didn't we?
