It appears it has been a while since I updated here. I had a lovely trip up the mountain to see the family. Above was from a short trip to the Japanese Gardens there. Always wonderful.
yummy things were being baked, including a 30 minute Jamie Oliver meal for someone's birthday.
Happy Birthday. That was fun. Hope you enjoyed your school camp trip to the south.
a few shots of the wildlife...saw some wonderful lorikeets on a morning walk back home,
and this friendly magpie walked right up to me as I was sitting on the steps with a neighbor, while we were watching people go by and discussing world affairs.
and this little fellow visited me a day later as I sat on the patio.
I asked the librarian could I take a photo out the magnificent windows to the west of our new library.
Don't you love the afternoon light as it glows on the bushes
I do.
I also love irises
and this kookaburra who came to sit outside the kitchen window
the bauhinias have been looking magnificent as usual...
and we discovered that someone would have had a significant birthday lately
the jacarandas are in bloom...just
did I say the orchids are blooming too?
and some little people celebrated their birthday with family and friends down south
looks like someone went to a lot of trouble to get this great background drop for their party.
and make these little cakes too!Glad you could drop in, come again sometime. It has started to be summer here already. A bit soon for my liking. Looking forward to some more rain though, it is getting dry again.
