Leaping into December

An early morning jog and exercise routine for the Sippy Downs family, sees Liam leaping into Daddy's arms.

come on Michelle, you can do it too...I'll catch you!
a great family fun time...
followed by a nice refreshing swim...
Grandma , not being well with the shingles, decided to take it easy instead in the hammock

of course eating out at the little cafe up the road is a real treat,
not just for the kids, but for this Grandma also!
And Mummy too I hope!
yum, can I try your chocolate cake Liam..
it looks better than the healthy biscuit Mummy bought me!!
Another trip to the Sunshine coast by train
(my back to driving date having been put forward to early February)
and the purchase of a new camera, the same brand but cheaper at Australia Post,
and an early Christmas get together with family
brought a bit more sparkle into life,
slowed  down by illness and use of public transport...

fun in the pool with Dad

yay, jump in Grandma it's fun!

some little one was having a grand time...
her swimming lessons seem to have given her lots of confidence in the water!

It was fun to see the famous Sunlander paused at Landsborough, while I was waiting for the train one day! I must be needing to have another trip on it...gosh, it is the last day of the year and I haven't used my free pensioner train trip this year...bother! Perhaps I better catch a train somehere today...pity there's so much cleaning to do here. Trying to get the house clean for visitors is a little slow for me these days!

A couple of visits to the art gallery at the USC have been interesting, giving one a larger view of life through others eyes. I love to take the children and ask what is their favorite painting!
the green building is always an interesting place.
A friend and I had lunch at the uni one day on my way to catching the bus to the train at Landsborough.
She ended up offering to drive me to the train station instead, and on getting caught in a now becoming familiar traffic snarl on the highway, we then took a little used road down the back way through Eudlo  and Mooloolah to get a later train. That was fun to see a different part of the country.
One day I hope to have a little look at some old maps and find out where the block of land Doug and I owned in the early seventies ...at Landsborough. We used to camp out in a little hut on the 20 acres, with the boys when they were very young!!

Off I go back past the Glasshouse mountains, which I am always trying to take a good photo of, a little difficult through scratched windows..what a shame!
Well, I think late December and Christmas ought to have its own post, don't you?
So I'll see you back here real soon I hope!
I had a lovely time at the Sunshine Coast,
firstly having a night with John and Wendy at Golden Beach,
then a few days with Jo and Andrew and family.

Please come back and visit soon!
We'll see if there was any room for Mary in the inn, hey Michelle?
